August’s first full Moon was traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer. This colorway, is a variegated colorway...VERY dark. It is a black, moving through navy, with a little purple, and ending with the grey sturgeon!
Fingering Weight: 75/25 I've added another fingering weight yarn, this base is a very nice, sturdy base that would be wonderful for socks! This is a 100 gram skein with 463 yards and a 4 ply yarn. A very nice, balanced yarn with quite a lot of yardage.
This yarn is a 100% Superwash Merino wool. A DK weight yarn, it is soft for next to skin wear. A yarn with great stitch definition. The skein is 100 grams and 231 yards.
Dyed with professional acid dyes, light and washfast.
I recommend washing knitted or crochet items by hand and dry flat. Keep in mind that these yarns are hand dyed and colors may be slightly different than the yarn color in the photos.
This yarn has been dyed in a pet free and smoke free home.
