I love Colorado and the wild places in our state. This colorway is based on one of our national parks called Mesa Verde. It is a variegated/ speckled hand dyed yarn with a beige base of the cliffside and black speckling for the shadows, green for the trees and some darker brown/ rust speckling as well. This is one of my new hand dyed collections called the Colorado Parks Collection.
Fingering Weight:
One of my favorite bases: 80/20 Superwash Merino/ nylon. The extra little bit of Merino makes this a softer, slightly plumper fingering weight yarn. 400 yards for 100 grams
I now have another fingering weight option. This is a 75/25 Superwash Merino/ nylon. A little bit stronger from the more nylon. This would be a wonderful base for socks! 100 grams with 463 yards and a 4 ply, so a little more rounded.
Sport Weight yarn: This yarn is a 80/20% Superwash Merino and nylon, it is soft for next to skin wear. A yarn with great stitch definition. The skein is 100 grams and 328 yards. A skein would be enough for a hat, mittens, fingerless gloves, slippers, you could even make a pair of socks!
This yarn is a 100% Superwash Merino wool. A DK weight yarn, it is soft for next to skin wear. A yarn with great stitch definition. The skein is 100 grams and 231 yards.
Worsted Weight: This yarn is a 100% superwash Merino wool. A worsted weight yarn, it is soft for next to skin wear. A yarn with great stitch definition. The skein is 100 grams and 218 yards. This is a popular yarn for hats and scarves but would also make a warm and squishy sweater.
Bulky: 100% Superwash Merino
3ply yarn
106 yds/100g skein
Super Bulky: 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon
Single ply
76 yds/100g skein
Dyed with professional acid dyes, light and washfast.
I recommend washing knitted or crochet items by hand and dry flat. Keep in mind that these yarns are hand dyed and colors may be slightly different than the yarn color in the photos.
This yarn has been dyed in a pet free and smoke free home.
